Quick answers

From André’s CV, no AI involved

I build products end to end: React and React Native on the front, Node.js and AWS behind them. I judge the work by the manual steps and money it saves.

Recife, Brazil, UTC−3.

Open to remote roles with international teams.

About

I'm a software engineer from Recife, in the northeast of Brazil. For four years I've built production apps for clients in very different businesses, mostly with React, React Native and Node.js.

Most of my best work removed a step someone used to do by hand: a release pipeline instead of a checklist, a web interface instead of a CLI only developers could run, a script that finishes in seconds instead of ten minutes.

I like owning a feature from the client conversation to production, and I care about the parts users never see: component structure, onboarding for the next developer, the cost of every LLM call. I want a number before and after.

Right now I'm a Software Engineer at Indigo Hive, building AI-driven WhatsApp workflows on Node.js and AWS.

The cobogó was patented in Recife in 1929. Its name joins the surnames of its three creators: Coimbra, Boeckmann and Góis. Scroll to move the sun.

Experience

Four years of production work, plus the internship where it started. Open a role to see what I shipped there.

  1. AI-driven WhatsApp chatbots and internal tooling for a product used by thousands of people.

    • Cut LLM API costs by 50% by rewriting prompts, trimming tokens and restructuring how AI requests flow.
    • Automated an internal operational workflow in Node.js, taking it from 10 minutes of manual steps to a few seconds.
    • Replaced a developer-only CLI with a React + Node.js interface clients can run themselves, cutting operational dependency on the internal team.
    • Built LLM-backed workflows and integrations for WhatsApp chatbots on AWS.
    • Shipped features for a product with thousands of users, keeping it fast and reliable under load.
